Smoking cessation sessions set
According to Faunda Butler, Respiratory Therapist, St. Mary’s Hospital will be offering free smoking cessation class on four Wednesday evenings throughout August beginning Wednesday, August 5.  Her curriculum uses the American Cancer Society’s Freshstart program.  Each class will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood Medical Clinic reception area.  The hour long sessions will be held Wednesday, August 5, 12,19 and 26th. . . .

Idaho County Sheriff Doug Giddings reads aloud the award the Sheriff’s department presented to Cassi Lockett for making “very good choices” when one of the two recent escapees from NICI broke into her house while she was there with her kids. See story at left.

Kim Schumacher is shown reading to the children at the Summer Reading Program.  25 kids participated in Thursday's activities which included stories, flower crafts, tap dancing and a snack.  The program will continue this Thursday at the library at 1:30.  All kids age 3 yrs through elementary school are encouraged to attend.
