The 2012 Idaho County Royalty candidates and the 2011 Royalty posed together for a photo at the Fairgrounds recently. The Royalty Luncheon, where the candidates will be judged, was to be held Wednesday, August 3 in Grangeville. Carletta Allen was the guest speaker at the final week of the Summer Reading Program. She spoke about her trip to India, shared a slide show, and taught the children several songs. The top three readers of the Summer Reading Program are Veronica Hattrup (3rd place), Amber Halligan (2nd place) and David Wassmuth (1st place). Every child attending this week received several prizes.

Queen Sarah Baune and 1st Princess Merannda Chaffee rode with the Red Hat Society ladies at the Kooskia Day Parade.
