Lady Pirates win two 1-run games; District starts Thursday
The Prairie Lady Pirates picked up a pair of 1-run victories in their final two regular season games. They won 3-2 at Asotin in a non-league game that was a late addition to the schedule and then won a league game at Troy 7-6 to clinch the #2 seed into the District Tournament. . . .

Congratulations to the April Students of the Month: Krista Hess, left; Krystin Uhlenkott, center, and Seirah Poxleitner, right. Krista is conscientious and a hard worker.  She has excellent citizenship and encourages other to do their best.  Krystin works hard in and out of class and always shows good citizenship.  She is a joy to be around because she always has a smile on her face! Cody Kaschmitter and Rachel Gimmeson had lunch at the Hangout on Monday May 6. These students won the April attendance drawing.

Several nurses and doctors from St. Mary’s Hospital participated in STABLE Training on May 3. STABLE is the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program to focus exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants.  S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessments and care modules in the program; Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work and Emotional Support.  A seventh module, Quality Improvement stresses the professional responsibility of improving and evaluating care provided to sick infants.
