Everyone wants a piece of the District Championship trophy after the senior players on the team received it after beating Genesee 6-3 last Friday. Prairie plays Greenleaf at State at noon Friday at Lewiston. Staff members from the Cottonwood School District took part in Discovery Training at Prairie Junior/Senior High School.  The training was held live in Boise, but broadcast to outlying districts through Idaho Public Television.  Staff members shared computer applications, looked at places to find video segments to enhance teaching lessons, and shared thoughts on how to implement digital video into curriculum.  Shown from left are Renee Eckert, Laurie Karel, Andrea Brannan, Kim Schumacher, Vikki Riener, Cindy Schumacher, Darbie Duclos and Allason Zenner. Some of the old bowling pinsetters are lined behind Prairie Imperial Bowl after they were removed over the weekend to make way for the new pinsetters which will be installed within the next month or so. Also being installed are synthetic overlays on the lanes similar to what Camas Lanes in Grangeville has. The machines shown were hauled down to Sutton Recycling in Lewiston for scrap. A grain elevator in Craigmont was fully engulfed in flames Sunday afternoon and saw fire crews respond from most area communities to help battle the blaze and keep it from spreading to nearby homes.  . Click on the photo for a larger view.
