Memorial Day services were held by the Cottonwood VFW and American Legion at the Greencreek and two Cottonwood cemeteries this year. Photos above are from Greencreek.. From top down Fred Seubert, American Legion Commander places the wreath to start the ceremony; Jim Schumacher and Jimmie Steinke read the names of those veterans buried in the cemetery; Rick Johnson plays "Taps" as the veterans salute; A gun salute. The weather cooperated for Hope Center's 10th annual Walk for Life last Saturday. Over 150 people turned out to show their support for this prolife  annual fund raiser. Speaker Russ Daines encouraged the participants to keep working and praying to see an end to abortion. Donated prizes were awarded to Rachel Gulotta, Jenna Murdock, the  Nezperce Christian Church, Glenda Frei, the Gulotta kids, Tyler Robb, Joel Hardin, Sadie and Donna Kopczynski, Augustine Warden and The Tri-Parish Youth Group. Shown is Alex Crea and his Reserve Champion pig at the Moses Lake Jr. Livestock Show, March 31. Alex attends school at Highland High School and was showing a pig bred by his grandparents Mike and Lu Crea.
