Jeannie Fitch of Riggins is the 2018 Idaho County Fair Grand Marshal. See story above left.

They have some tall sunflowers at the Roger and Jane Burgess home in the Ironwood development in Cottonwood. As you can see one of them is over 9 feet tall as it has grown past the edge of the roof. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Rusty Lorentz was working Monday on a new lean-to that will provide cover for the outdoor musical acts at the Fair. It replaces the gazebo which had to be torn down after flooding last May rotted out the supporting timbers. Click on the photo for a larger view.
 

Above are two shots of the décor in the Schmidt Building for the 4-H Fashion Show. The building also has new carpeting after the flooding back in May ruined the old carpeting. Click on each photo for a larger view.
 
The 2019 Royalty candidates are shown with the judges at the Royalty Luncheon Wednesday, July 25 at the Nazarene Church in Grangeville. For Jon Rehder’s 40th birthday, he and his father Jim went skydiving on August 4 at Star, Idaho. Jim says “I wasn't nervous at all for some reason.  Really intense in the free fall; the air pressure sure does creative things with a person's face.  we landed on our butts and it didn't hurt at all.” From top down are Jon, Jim and the pair before getting in the plane.
