Students of the month for May at Prairie High School are from left: Garrett Bunce, Brooklyn Riener and Carson Forsman. Bunce was nominated by Julie Schumacher-  I haven't been around Garrett hardly at all, but EVERY time I have, I have been impressed with his character!!  He is polite, well mannered, respectful, helpful, willing WITHOUT complaining (which doesn't happen very much any more!!!)  Riener was nominated by Dave Young-   I admire and respect Brooklyn's ability to own not only her success but to accept accountability when she falls short of her expectations. Brooklyn feels it is her responsibility to acquire knowledge and is willing to put in the necessary work that it requires.  Forsman was  nominated by Cheri Holthaus- Carson is always willing to do what is asked; with a smile and wants to make sure it is done right.  Extremely polite and respectful.  Goes out of his way to be friendly and helpful.  Photo by Jon Rehder.Click on the photo for a larger view.

Taylor Lustig jumped the gun on tossing her mortarboard as Kayla Rehder and Teliana Martinez still have theirs as graduation ceremonies closed at Summit Academy Saturday afternoon. See the Summit page below left for more graduation photos. Each graduate also received on of Summit's major awards. Lustig received the Excelsior Award. Rehder received the Patriot award and Martinez received the St. John Bosco award. Click on the photo for a larger view..
