Many veterans were in attendance at the Prairie Schools Veterans Day assembly although apparently very few wanted to sit in the front row. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Mark Tacke received a certificate as a World War II veteran from the national VFW. He is the Cottonwood Post’s only surviving WWII veteran and received a standing ovation when introduced at the school assembly on Monday. . Click on the photo for a larger view.

Terry Cochran was the guest speaker for Monday’s Veterans’ Day Assembly at Prairie Jr./Sr. High School. He served in both the Marines and in the Army. Click on the photo for a larger view.
