St. John Bosco Academy students honored their mothers, grandmothers and the Blessed Mother at their annual May Crowning.  Nash Johnson led the procession of kindergartners to crown Mary, while his classmates followed with candles. A living rosary was then led by students, who came forward after leading their prayer to present a flower to Mary.  A Marian hymn was sung between each decade.  The rosary concluded with a litany by the high school girls, who then presented their own flowers to Mary.  The senior girls recited a poem about mothers and invited everyone to a reception.  Each student served cake and coffee to their mom and grandma, then presented a card or gift they had made. Pictured are Julia Wassmuth and Noelle Chmelik, presenting their flowers to Mary as the rest of the student body and guests look on. Photo by SJB. Click on the photo for a larger view.
