Chloe Rowland and Holli Schumacher, 2nd and 3rd from left, two seniors at Prairie, presented their HOSA Future Healthcare Professionals of America project at the Prairie Teacher/Staff meeting Tuesday, Aug. 23. They are shown with Cottonwood Police Chief Terry Cochran, who has been trying to get a program like this in place for years, and several St. Mary’s Health EMTs. On the floor in front of them are the items that will go into a bucket for each classroom. See story at left. The EMT’s also helped certify Prairie staff and teachers in CPR. Photo by Tara Rowland. See article at left for information and more photos. Click on the photo for a larger view.

At the Two-Minute Talent Show during the Idaho County Fair, Taylor Wilkins stepped into character, right down to the colorful tennis shoes and little red wagon, and recounted the life of Sr. Herman Joseph Mager.  Basically another part of the Living History series for the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude. See article at left for her script.  Click on the photo for a larger view.

Adele Holman was the Most Unusual Pigtail Winner at the Idaho County Fair. Her mother Kari Holman sent us this photo so you can see a closeup of the spider she had braided into her hair.  Click on the photo for a larger view.

Trenton Lorentz runs through a big hole early in the game against Oakley. Blocking at left are Blake Bunce and Ben Elven. Next to Lorentz is Colton McElroy and at right blocking #11 is Shane Hanson. The Pirates had very few highights in a 0-56 loss. See article above left. Click on the photo for a larger view.

The Prairie Lady Pirates got into action this weekend at the New Plymouth Tournament. Shown is Julia Rehder spiking the ball against Filer as Kristin Wemhoff and Tara Schlader get ready to play defense. See story above left for stories of the Tournament as well as their league opener against C.V.
