Prairie Elementary School held their Christmas Concert last Friday, Dec. 16. Pictured from top down are the Kindergartners, 1st Graders, 2nd Graders, 3rd Graders, 4th Graders, 5th Grade Band and 6th Grade Band. Laurie Karel directed the Kindergarten through 4th grade while John Eynon directed the 5th and 6th grade bands. Click on each photo for a larger view.

 St. John Bosco Academy held their Nativity Play on December 14th.  This year's play, "A Very Mary Christmas", focused on Mary's journey to the Nativity.  All students participated in one aspect of her journey from the Annunciation to the Nativity. Pictured above are Kindergarten stable animals: Rory Johnson, Ava Prigge, Hannah Hinds, John Patrick Warren , Ruby Weckman, Maggie Bock, Maddie Bock, Cooper Frei, Zane Stubbers and Khloe Enneking. The following is further information on the Elks Hoop Shoot. Last week we had a photo of the 3 Prairie students that advanced to the District level. On Saturday, December 10, six students represented Prairie at the Elks Hoop Shoot in Grangeville. Axel Forsmann made 8 of 25 baskets to take first place in the Boys 8-9 division. Michael Forsmann made 12 of 25 baskets to also take first place in the Boys 10-11 division. Derek Goeckner just missed third place shooting 8 of 25 baskets. For the girl's side Harper Riener just missed third place shooting 4 of 25 baskets, Bailey Schumacher made 5 of 25 baskets, and Reagan Brannan made 13 of 25 baskets taking first place in the Girl's 12 - 13 division.  Reagan, Michael, and Axel will move on to the district level of the Elks Hoop shoot which will take place in Lewiston on January 21, 2023.
