The school board held their regular December meeting Monday, Dec. 19.

The Prairie Pirates lost twice in the Prairie Classic Tournament as they lost 56-63 to Council on Friday, Dec. 16 and 49-66 to the Lewiston JV on Saturday, Dec. 17. . . .

Summit Academy’s Christmas Room is a sight to behold! When you enter you walk through trees until you come to a log cabin with a sign that reads, “Fled to Egypt, be back soon.”. . .
Playing at home this weekend with both boys and girls playing NICS, North Idaho Christian School from Hayden, Idaho, Summit's Patriots came away with one victory and one loss at the varsity level, and lost a squeaker in overtime in the boys jv contest starting the day. . . .

NICI employees worked on decorating a firetruck for Santa’s visit and the lighted parade. Shown are those that did the work with the fruit of their efforts. (not to be confused with the Grangeville firetruck which was in town Monday evening.) 


In the upper photoyoungsters at Prairie Elementary took advantage of the conditions plus an incline on the school grounds to do some sledding. In the lower photo Philip Spencer, Dallas Frei, Bailie Gehring, Selena Davila, Kelzey Gallagher, Luke Enneking and Casey Miller all enjoyed playing in the snow last week at Prairie Elementary School. 

The PHS Dance team performed to “Sleighbells” during halftime of the girls game Friday at the Christmas Tournament. From left are Vanessa Hylton, Kayla Uhlenkott, Ashley Nuxoll, Lauren Duman, Heather Schumacher and Laura Gehring.

The Welcome to Cottonwood sign has been dressed up for the holidays. The wreath is made of fabric squares and was put there in remembrance of Bertha Kopczynski & her quilting.
