As always, youngsters enjoy the rides at Greencreek’s 4th of July Celebration. In the background you can see a jumping castle that was also enjoyed. 

Ed Arnzen was this year’s grand marshal for the Greencreek 4th of July Celebration. 

Cottonwood Police Chief Terry Cochran reads to youngsters during last week’s Summer Reading Program. The program continues this Thursday at 1 p.m. 

John Mager, Sr., is shown with a flower of broccoli he grew in his garden in the Denver area east of Cottonwood. The flower weighed 1¼ lbs. and was insect free. He keeps insects off by using flour or baby powder. 

The PHS class of 1976 held their 30th class reunion on July 8, 2006 at the Cottonwood Gun club. There were 32 class members that attended. The evening was spent reminiscing, looking at the class yearbook and enjoying a wonderful barbeque. 

Last week Troop 638 went to Camp Grizzly for the week. They worked on a variety of merit badges: swimming, first aid, shotgun, rifle, leatherwork, wood carving, wilderness survival, nature, environmental science and more. They also went on a 5-mile hike, canoed to Laird Park and had a good time singing and playing game w with the staff. Thank you Rick Workman.
