Auditions for this year's Missoula Children's Theatre production of "The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" were held Monday at the Elementary School gym. The play will be performed at the PHS gym on Friday, March 7 at 1:00 and 7:00  p.m. Click on the top photo for a larger version.

Alex Duman and Hunter McWilliams received February’s attendance award.  They won a healthy prize to go along with the Fitness Challenge the Middle School students are taking part in.  The two boys received a blender with a smoothie recipe book.

The Prairie 5th and 6th grade basketball teams distributed money raised by their annual basketball tournament. in the top photo Appy Enriquez and Brandi Gehring, present Mrs. Forsmann with a $1500 check for the gymnasium. They are hoping the money helps purchase new score boards that are badly needed in the gym. In the lower photo Bryson Higgins and Daun Hoene presented Erin Shears and the Discovery Center a check for $500 from the basketball teams.  The Discovery Center has been very generous with helping players get to and from practices as well as home at night.

The 7th and 8th grade PE classes (above two pictures) showed their pride and respect for the gym floor by taking time out of their schedules to hand wash the entire floor!  Thanks kids; it looks great!

The main cast members of Summit Academy's production of  "The Pony Espresso" from left are Buck the hero (Dylan Prigge), Star (Margaret Yalbuw), Mo the villain (Josh Frei), Dee Caff (Rachel Wemhoff) and Barb Dwyer (Tara Stubbers). See story for more info.

Kyle Daly and Kara Guyer, Prairie High School Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA) members, will be posting flyers publicizing the March 11 forum on Colorectal Cancer featuring Dr. Andy Jones.  They will also be distributing toothbrushes that say “You brush your teeth to prevent cavities consider colorectal cancer screening to prevent Colon Cancer.”

Mrs. Nancy Arnzen and Mrs. Kathy Riener held a drawing during lunch on Friday, Feb. 29th.  Students were to count the number of M & M’s in the jar.  There were 404 total in the jar.  Students who won were Ashley Cannon who guessed 456 and Adrianne Nuxoll who guessed 447.  Thanks for making lunch fun cooks!!

The Middle School gym looks a lot sharper with new stage curtains.
