The Prairie student body celebrates after it was announced they had won the school competition at the Idaho County Shootout Friday, Dec. 2. Garrett Roush holds the Shootout Trophy that was presented by Idaho County Sheriff Doug Giddings. Prairie won the gym decorations and fundraising competitions while Grangeville won the blue vs. red out the gym, texting and cheerleader challenge competitions. The tipping point in Prairie’s favor appeared to be the fact that out of $6502 raised for the local food banks, Prairie raised over $4600. Apparently while Grangeville students were busy texting, Prairie students were raising money. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Josh Roeper was Prairie’s contestant in the Inland Cellular cash booth at the Idaho County Shootout last Friday with Justin Roby competing for Grangeville. Inland Cellular donated a dollar to the food banks for each dollar the contestants were able to grab and hold onto. Click on the photo for a larger view.
