Thirteen students completed the 2014 Safe Sitter class which is sponsored by St. Mary’s Hospital.  SMH has been sponsoring this class for twenty years.  The Safe Sitter program is a medically accurate program that teaches young adolescents how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children. The Idaho Junior Chamber International Senate installed new officers this past weekend at their annual campout at Three Rivers Resort at Lowell. At left is outgoing state president Dave Branson of Nezperce with incoming state president Mike Nuxoll of Cottonwood. The JCI Senate is made up of former Jaycee members who were awarded Senator status by their Jaycee chapters for outstanding service while in the Jaycees. Alex Irby of Orofino was installed as vice-president with Hap Hilbish of Coeur d’Alene as treasurer, Greg Wherry of Cottonwood as secretary and Keith Gabriel of Boise as chaplain. Branson will serve as chairman of the board. The officers were installed by Region IX national vice-president Angie Struttman of Seattle. Click on the photo for a larger view.
