October students of the month at Prairie High School
are Carson Schmidt and Madison Shears. Carson Schmidt was nominated by
Cheri Holthaus. She stated that Carson is always willing to help
without complaint. He sees what needs to be done and does it.
Plus he has a great sense of humor! Madison Shears-nominated by Mr.
Young. 3 words that he sent in with her nomination...respectful,

There was a good sized crowd most of the day at the
Assumption Parish Dinner on Sunday. The lower photo shows the food serving

Kate Lustig tells the crowd where the “Walk with Kate”
will go, which was from the Elementary School to the hospital and back.
Police Chief Terry Cochran then asked the walkers to stick to the sidewalks

The walkers headed out from the Elementary School
along Butler Street toward Lewiston Street. Once they got to the hospital
there was a free screening by the clinic. There was a good crowd of walkers

Cottonwood Credit Union opened their new branch
office in the former Wells Fargo Bank building a couple of weeks ago. Extensive
remodeling was done to the old building as evidenced by the new teller

HUB International/Harman Agency moved from their Main
Street location to their new location last Friday, Nov. 2. About all that
is left of the former Farm Credit Building are the brick walls as it was
