Veterans monument vandalized
How sad is it,  that last week the Cottonwood Chronicle had a front page photo about the work that our Lions club volunteers put in to upgrade and re-hang the marble plates that recognized our military service members,  old and young, and this week I have to report that these nice new plates have been vandalized. . . .

The Prairie boys cross country team qualified for State by placing second at the District Meet last Wednesday at Lewiston. Those with medals finished in the top 19 and would have competed at State even if the team hadn’t qualified. Prior to Friday's football game the new Prairie Booster Club Burger Barn was dedicated to the memory of Janet Richardson. In the top photo Jerry Richardson cuts the ribbon. In the middle photo Jerry, his daughter Alex and grandson Luke are shown with the sign and plaques commemorating Janet as well as Dan Kaschmitter. In the bottom photois a closeup of the commemoration plaques and sign. Also on hand for the dedication were Janet's sister Judi and her husband Wayne Sattler. Click on each photo for a larger view.
