Recently, Nancy Asker came to PES to deliver the Third Graders dictionaries on behalf of the Grangeville Elks. The Dictionary Project that the Elks are a part of promotes literacy in students. Third grade is a pivotal year where students begin reading to learning as opposed to earlier grades where the focus is on learning to read. Dictionaries help make information more available to these learners. Photos submitted by Prairie Elementary School. Click on each photo for a larger view.

The DATE program, along with the Cottonwood Police Department and Cottonwood Volunteer Fire Department put on a Halloweedn event in the parking lot on the back side of St. Mary's Church.  Click on each photo for a larger view.

St. Mary's Health had a Trick-or-Treat station set up by Kim Johnson near the Orr Building. Lots of trick-or-treaters visited and picked up candy.
