Food Bank changes location
The St. Mary’s Hospital Food Bank recently changed locations.  They are now located at 402 Main Street in the Bott and Associates Office.  Krystyne Bahlman, SMH employee, will help coordinate the food bank efforts together with other community volunteers.  Their efforts are included in the activities of the hospital’s Mission Committee. . . .

The St. Mary’ Hospital Foundation is launching another set of 60 minute tours of the hospital.  The tours give a behind-the-scenes look at how the hospital and clinics function.  Tour guides often include doctors, administrative staff, nurses, Foundation board members and other personnel. . . .

Lady Pirates swept by Lapwai; District starts Saturday
The Prairie Lady Pirates got swept by Lapwai in their senior night match Tuesday, Oct. 3, by scores of 18-25, 24-26, and 14-25. Seniors Randi Schumacher, Carolyn Sonnen, Tessica Nuxoll, Tabitha Sonnen, Nicole Nida, Kylie Uhlorn, Shandrie Poxleitner and Charlene Duman and their parents were all honored prior to the match.

Prairie Middle School’s attendance winners for the month of September. Meranda Chaffee and Troy Lorentz. Every week a student is in attendance, their name is put into the drawing. 

Students at Prairie Middle School learned to Western Swing in their new Teen Living class. Students from the class then taught the rest of the junior high how to dance. On Wednesday, October 4, students were given 50 minutes to practice their dance moves. 

The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation is resuming their hour long Circle of Life Tours on October 31, November 1 and November 2. The public is invited to attend. Please call 962-3251 for more information or to register for a tour. See story above left.
