Prairie  Boosters of the year  are Joe and Kathy Kuther.    The nomination noted that they attended so many school activities and were so positive around all of our teams and athletes.   It was noted that Joe and Kathy attended many High School and Junior High events.  Their attendance and support of Prairie School activities and sports is greatly appreciated. They are shown with Prairie Booster Club president Glenn Poxleitner, who submitted the photo. Prairie student booster of the Year was Tucker Hibbard.   Among the nominations, Tucker stood out for his efforts to support not only our athletes but the way he raises the spirits of students during the school day with  his positive personality and encouragement.   He is shown with Prairie Booster Club president Glenn Poxleitner, who submitted the photo. Travis Mader was recently award the Teacher of the Month by Spokane Teachers Credit Union and KXLY Television of Spokane. His nomination was written by Leah Higgins and was chosen from many applications. New roof trusses were being installed Tuesday morning on the former Farm Credit Service building. The first trusses were installed over the new addition on the backside, which is what necessitated the new roof. Click on the photo for a larger view.


Broadway Street is getting a facelift from 1st Street South uphill past where the railroad tracks were. The top photo, taken last week shows them grinding up the old asphalt. The lower photo, taken Monday, shows new asphalt being put down. Click on each photo for a larger view.
