The VFW and American Legion honor guard helped with the dedication of the new retractable flag during ceremonies before the Prairie-Nezperce girls game last Tuesday, Nov. 15. Click on the photo for a larger view. 

Mrs. Rehder’s Kindergarten class invited Mrs. Rhinhart’s 1st and 2nd graders to join them for a Thanksgiving feast on Monday. The students began with a prayer and each said what they were most thankful for. Mr. Carey, the principal, also joined in for a delicious meal and a fun time. Happy Thanksgiving!

James Biltz shares a snack with his Dad, Joe Biltz.  Joe has taken over the duties of Cub Master this year.  Our previous Cub Master, Dan Karel has retired after 6 years of serving the Cub Scouts.

The first Seniors in Shape class which was held Tuesday, November 22 was well attended with 19 participants.  Future classes will be held on Monday and Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:30 in the Cottonwood Community hall.  Shelli Schumacher, facilitator was very happy with the attendance and remarked that she overheard one of the attendees say, “I can already tell after just one class that this is really going to help with my balance.” The classes are being sponsored by St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics.  They will be offered as a public service to any age, any gender and people in any physical condition. For additional information please contact Shelli Schumacher at 962-5371.
