The 8th grade Introduction to Engineering class with their bottle rockets. The students built the bottle rockets from empty plastic bottles, then shot them off using just air the first time, then added water the second time. The majority of rockets flew twice as high with the water, reaching a height of approximately 70 feet. During the project the students learned about rocket history, Newton's Law of Motion, and how to calculate the height their rocket reached. The rocket kits were purchased from Gear Up II funds. Students in the picture from left to right are: Laurene Elder, Chasten Brown, Terran Vanator, Cole Frei, Kennedy Reiger, Tiffany Sonnen, Mykaela McWilliams, Nicole Poxleitner, Cody Lockhart, Jon Halligan, Selena Davila, Faith Uhlenkott, Chaye Uptmor, Kylie Tidwell, Laina Sonnen, Tyson Schlader, AJ Everson, and Stephanie Jungert, Not pictured are Noah Arnzen and Britney Bianchi.
