Larry Seubert is presented the Prairie Booster Club’s Fan of the Year award by principal Jon Rehder at halftime of the boys game against Orofino. Every player on the boys team congratulated Seubert and the girls team, who were back from Post Falls, did as well and got their picture taken with him.  Click on each photo for a larger view.

Friday, February 9, was the date for the Cottonwood School District Spelling Bee.  Twelve contestants competed to be the district champion.  It took eight rounds to come up with a champion.  Monica Goeckner is the district champion.  Monica was asked to spell grandiose.  The moderator, Mr. Greg Deiss, asked Monica if she knew what that word meant.  Monica instantly replied, "I don't know what it means but I can spell it:  G - R - A - N - D - I - O - S - E."  Monica moves to the next level of competition which will be at LCSC on March 10. Rene’ Forsmann was recognized as the Administrator of the Year at the IETA conference this past week!  She was recognized at the IETA luncheon which was held this past Tuesday. Ryan Hasselstrom, Andrea Brannan, Jennifer Riener, Laurie Workman, Jeff Martin, Rene’ and I attended a 3 day conference Monday-Wednesday this past week on technology in education!  It was a well deserved award for an outstanding district leader!
