Lady Pirates lose at Lewiston Tournament
The Prairie Lady Pirates opened their volleyball season with 3 losses in pool play at the Lewiston Tournament Saturday, August 26. They opened with a 9-25, 11-25 loss to St. Maries. They then faced Moscow and lost 20-25, 15-25. In their final match they faced Troy and won the first game 25-13 but then lost the match 17-25, 11-15. . . .

Dr. Andrew Gilbert will begin seeing patients in the SMH Cottonwood and Craigmont Clinics the first week of September. 

Kenny Pepper of Cottonwood, received one of two Good Neighbor Awards for 2006 from the Grangeville Garden Club for the landscaping at his home, how appealing and well-kept it looks from the street. This is the first time the award has been presented to a Cottonwood resident. Presenting the award are JenniferArtley, Roberta Crea and Ann Bos. Cottonwood now has 3 members belonging to the Grangeville Garden Club.

The Prairie football team got off to a great start as they won 54-8 over Meadows Valley.
