33 children attended the Summer Reading Program last Thursday.  Michelle Sonnen and her daughter Allison told us of their trip to Rome. It was a very interesting afternoon,  learning about the Colosseum and the gladiators.  We also made Popsicle stick picture frames and decorated them with colored pasta.  This Thursday will be the final day of the summer reading program for this year.  Please bring your reading charts in to be eligible for reading prizes. School parking lot traffic changes

Butler Street (Entrance): Parking lot at the Elementary School (former Middle School).  This is a view of the entrance to the parking lot.  Signs will be posted for the entrance to the parking lot as well as the exit.    As you head north on E Street you will enter the school parking lot at the end of Butler Street.  Parents who are dropping off students for school will drive to the entrance to the building and let their child off and then drive out the exit. (Exit) on to East Street: As you head south on East Street your will drive down to Butler Street and take a left to enter the parking lot. You will exit the parking lot on to East Street (near the school sidewalks).    What you see in the above picture is the exit from the parking lot. These changes will be in effect during school hours.  The City of Cottonwood is working with the school district to add signs. Click on the photo for a larger view.
