Pirates lose on Senior Night
The Prairie Pirates won the first quarter on Senior Night against Lapwai Friday, Feb. 14, but lost the other 3 quarters as they fell 66-84 in the final regular season game. . . .
Update: The Pirates beat Genesee 52-45 to open District Tournament pla Tuesday, Feb. 18. They play Lapwai at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 with the winner clinching a trip to State. The loser would have to win 4 games in 6 days at 3 different sites to advance to State starting with a game against Kamiah on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the LCSC Activity Center.

The Cottonwood Gun Club has been awarded a $16,169.38 grant by the Friends of the NRA. The grant money will be used to raise Trap 1 and make it handicap accessible and also take care of a standing water problem.  Lydia Lustig and Molly Wimer helped to get the grant. A crew has been excavating rock from the hillside behind the Wolftrack Tasting Den building. We don’t have all the information but suspect they are looking at adding an outdoor patio area without compromising their parking area for when they reopen the business. Senior Night was held for the Prairie boys basketball team last Friday night. All 5 seniors on the team plus a senior cheerleader were honored with their families.
