The state qualifiers and medalists at the Regional Track Meet held at Lapwai this past weekend. Thomas and Barbara Mannschreck of Boise and Ryan and Heather Uhlenkott of Cottonwood joined together to submit the winning bid to purchase the former Prairie Elementary School buildings and grounds. They are brainstorming ideas for the use of the property and welcome public input. See story above left. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Mr. Wassmuth's 40th field trip to Spalding Park!  34 years during his teaching career- and each year since of his past 6 years of retirement! There was some construction going on in downtown  Cottonwood on Tuesday. At Arnzen Drug they peeled the old shingles off their canopy on Monday and on Tuesday the new shingles were being laid down. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Also from Tuesday morning. A conference room is being added at the back of the Farm Credit building for when Harman Agency moves their operation over. The concrete floor was being poured Tuesday morning. Eventually the roof will be replaced as the addition will necessitate a new roof line. Click on the photo for a larger view.
