Lady Pirates' season ends at District
The Prairie Lady Pirates ended their regular season with a Senior Night win over Clearwater Valley, 25-10, 25-23, 26-28, 25-11 Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Cottonwood. On Saturday, Oct. 18, they opened District play at Genesee as the #6 seed and lost to #3 seeded Kamiah 11-25, 12-25, 21-25. They then played Kendrick in a loser-out match and won 25-10, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15. Finally on Monday, Oct. 20, they played Lapwai in a loser out match at the LCSC Activity Center and lost 17-25, 23-25, 25-14, 13-25 to end their season. . . .

Superintendent Jon Rehder and members of the school board presented Gus Hoene with a plaque for his almost 19 years on the school board prior to the start of the varsity volleyball match last Tuesday, Oct. 14. The Cottonwood Food Bank needs these Items: Sack of flour, Sack of sugar, Peanut butter, Jam/ jelly, Pancake mix, Bars of soap, Toilet tissue, Spaghetti, Macaroni, Laundry detergent, Dish detergent, Cans of pork and beans, Cans of chili, Cans of fruit , Cans of vegetables, Cans of soup , Cans of tuna, Cans of meat, Macaroni and cheese, Packages of ramen, Packages of hamburger, Instant milk, Cans of tomato sauce, Stewed tomatoes, Diced tomatoes.
