The new addition to
Cloninger’s Marketplace in Cottonwood is taking shape as construction
continues. Update-It is nearly finished at this time with the new
checkout stands in the addition expected to be operational this week.

 They
were finishing up the paving of the passing lane headed toward
Ferdinand in September. By the weekend you were allowed to drive on the
new lane although the speed limit was still at 55 through that section.

A rendering of the proposed
site for Simmons Sanitation’s transfer and sorting station. The
containment building is where locals would bring their loads. They
would drive inside where there would be several bins for types of waste
plus recyclables. Excavation started a couple of months later and is

Both Prairie and St. John
Bosco installed Pixelot cameras in their high shcool gyms over the
summer. Prairie also added one at the football field. These allow fans
who may not be able to get to the games to watch them online at
nfhsnetworkc.om. Prairie’s were operation for volleyball and football
while St. John Bosco had some issues and their camera wasn’t
operational until basketball season started. Photo of the Prairie High

American Freedom
Defense purchased Prairie Imperial Bowl in Craigmont on Dec. 23, 2024
and renamed is AFD Alley. Dawson Gorges, left, will serve as manager.

The Prairie
Community Band, made up of members from all across the Prairie,
performed in front of a big crowd at the final Prairie Community
Library 40th Anniversary event Tuesday, August 19 at the Cottonwood
